ABOUT US
Our olive orchards are located near the picturesque seaside town of Kolymvari, in the northwest part of Crete, Greece.
As a family-run business, we proudly oversee every step of the process, from nurturing our olive trees to handpicking each olive at peak ripeness. Within hours, the olives are taken to our mills for cold-extraction, testing, bottling, and storage, all done in house with care and precision, just for you.

Growing up in Sardinia, I learned that great olive oil defines great cooking. Kolympari stands out for its freshness, balance, and clean peppery finish. It’s an honest, beautifully made olive oil that respects tradition and elevates everything it touches.

Kolympari Extra Virgin Olive Oil has to be hands down one of the most beautiful olive oils on the market today. The colour, taste, and aroma make it so easy for a Chef to bring his dish to another level. The fair price point and subtle taste makes it so easy for restaurants to have it as a must in their establishments.

Excellent cold pressed extra virgin olive oil. Velvety and smooth. As an Italian, it is not easy to say this, but this Greek oil offers incredible value for the price.

In a professional kitchen, you don’t choose an olive oil for the label. You choose it for reliability, flavor, and how it performs across every service. At Shay Restaurant, Kolympari has become our go-to olive oil for most of our preparations. It’s vibrant, clean, and beautifully balanced, enhancing ingredients without overpowering them. What truly sets it apart is its cost-effective excellence. Kolympari delivers premium quality while remaining economically smart for high-volume, high-standard kitchens. For us, it represents one of the best value oils on the market today.
Chef Diego Rhoger(Montréal, Québec, Canada)
This isn’t your average olive oil, it’s direct from the source, with no middlemen, no brokers, and no extra markups. The family grow, harvest, press, bottle, and ship everything themselves. It’s family-owned, honest, fresh, and absolutely spectacular. If you cook for a living, caterers, chefs, restaurant owners, or if you’re just someone who loves quality ingredients in your kitchen, this is the oil you want on your shelf. Truly next level.
Chef Catherine Brule(Montréal, Québec, Canada)
As a professional chef, I work only with olive oils that show balance, precision, and true character. Kolympari PDO Olive Oil immediately stood out for its perfect acidity, clean structure, and beautifully expressive olive profile. It is well balanced, elegant, and vibrant, enhancing ingredients without overpowering them. This is a high-quality Greek PDO olive oil that reflects both terroir and craftsmanship, a product I confidently use in a professional kitchen.

Forno Pizza Frankies loves the spicyness and low acidic quality of Kolympari oil. We like using this oil as a finishing oil on our pizzas especially the Cosacca. The fruitness and smell of this high quality oil shines in this pizza. When Greece meets Italy on our cosacca pizza only at Forno Frankies.

What I love most is how clean and fresh it tastes. You can tell it’s high quality, made with care, and crafted by the Mihelakis family. It’s the finishing touch that brings everything together. I pretty much drink the stuff.
